I investigated the DEFFL guideline in depth.
Under XI. Free Agency, Title E, Section 9: It says "The deadline for announcing a franchise or transition tagged player is Feb 22 (7 days)."
DEFFL season started on Feb 24th, meaning FT/TT should not end on Feb 28th.
While my meeting with commissioner and assistant commissioner earlier this afternoon, I pinpointed this reason. The commissioner said I'm stubborn because I keep on bringing up the "7-day rule" and that he can make changes to the schedule when he thinks it is appropriate. He can make it four days instead of 7 days.
I am curious-- How do you feel that the commissioner (who is also an owner) is allowed to make changes to the schedule without owners' approval?
