Forced Fumbles 2 points each
Interceptions Caught 3 points each
Passes Defensed 0.5 points each
Blocked Field Goals 3 points each
Blocked Punts 3 points each
Tackles 0.5 points each
Assists 0.2 points each
Sacked a QB 2 points each
Tackles for a Loss 1 point each
Safeties 4 points each
Number of Defensive & Special Teams TDs 6 points each

I think thats great idea as we are the GMs as must know the whole team not one side... If we add that then must increase salary cap. I would go for 2-1-2 but still keep kicker points.

Sounds fun. Cant hurt to try.  Rookie draft would be more interesting too-  
Would we have to do a "defensive" draft or just start bidding when free agency opens?

We simply bid on any veteran defense players and drafted rookie defense players like any other.

Cool. Keep kickers n can replace team defense since we will have 5-6 defense players, it wouldn't make sense to have a team defense as well, I think that defeats the purpose of IDP in the first place- I'm starting to like the idea more and more ;-)
