Withdraw bid?
« on: March 28, 2012, 12:23:58 pm »
Our withdraw bid rule is very VAGUE and does not make sense.

I would like to follow this system:

12. Bidding can be withdrawn only if it is the first bid and within 7 days.

a.) Withdrawals of outbids are not permitted.
b.) A team that made a withdrawal bid on the players will not be permitted to bid on the same player again.

This is VERY clear and make sense.

I have a concern about this.,  If somebody withdrew somebody's RFA bid then that owner should have right to proceed with bid after 7 days rather than waiting until deadline of signing RFA and UFA. to prevent sillness.  Eample: Owner A bids and withdrew Barry Sanders who is on Onwer B's RFA  then Owner B can wait until after 7 days to sign his own RFA Barry Sanders.  Got it?  Otherwise, some owners might want to bring that player to attention, they could bid and withdrew and made other owner to notice that player and started the bidding war.

You hit it on the head, RZ.

I say aye. But this needs to be its own vote though.
